My product isn't working

The most common reasons a Java product won't work, and how to fix each one.

Most "it's not working" products come down to one of a few things, work through these before opening a ticket and it'll usually sort itself out.

  1. Make sure all the files are placed in their correct locations, they're named based on where they need to go, and none of them should be left grouped. If you're not sure how to get a file into your game in the first place, we've got guides on uploading your campus and getting a file into your game
  2. Enable HTTP Requests and Studio Access to API Services, you'll find both of these under Game Settings → Security. Full walkthrough here if you need it
  3. Make sure you, or your group, own a license for the product, and that the game is published under whichever account or group holds that license
  4. Test it in-game, not in Studio, publish your game and join it as a player would. Our products need to pull content directly from Roblox, which Studio can't access while you're testing inside it

If you've checked all of the above and it's still not working, open a ticket in our Discord and let us know which of these you've already confirmed, what's actually happening (nothing appears, an error, etc), and a screenshot or clip if you've got one, that'll save a lot of back and forth.

If it turns out to be product-specific rather than one of the general checks above, have a look through our Tutorials too, there may already be a dedicated guide for it.
